We are opening our home to people whose hearts beat for Palestine’s freedom. Our personal space is political, and to fight this ongoing genocide against Palestinians, every space must be similarly committed. Bushwick, known for its subculture and political lifestyle, has been largely quiet regarding Palestine. Most of the bodegas that define Bushwick are run largely by Yemeni people who have sacrificed in their significant efforts to stop this genocide.
To combat the dehumanization of Palestinians, we must work tirelessly everywhere to promote the resilience of the Palestinians and their hunger for freedom. This house party is the beginning of all our endeavors. Through this party, we hope to support a children’s organization in Palestine and another organization that is feeding the starved citizens of Palestine. Additionally, we aim to spread awareness across Bushwick through flags, graffiti, stickers, posters, murals, etc.
Every home in this world should light a candle of hope for Palestine. We hope to light one on January 27th, and we want you to be part of it.
